- What is a Japanese Head Spa?
- A Japanese Head Spa is a scalp-focused ritual that combines analysis, aromatherapy massage, deep cleansing, a custom mask and warm steam. At Professional Beauty Bar in downtown Sarasota we offer four tiers, from a 45-minute Basic reset ($90) to a three-hour Luxury ritual ($318).
- How long does a Head Spa take and what does it cost?
- Basic is 45 minutes for $90, Premium is 90 minutes for $186, Deluxe is 120 minutes for $233, and Luxury is 180 minutes for $318. Every tier includes scalp analysis, cleanse, massage and steam.
- Is the Head Spa safe for color-treated or extension hair?
- Yes. The treatment is scalp-focused and uses professional products chosen for your hair type. It is safe alongside color, keratin smoothing and Korean hand-tied extensions – tell your stylist at booking so the ritual is tailored.
- How do I book a Head Spa in Sarasota?
- Book online through our Vagaro profile at vagaro.com/professionalbeautybar, or call the salon. Head Spa is available with any stylist on the team.
- How often should I get a Head Spa?
- Most guests come every 4 to 6 weeks for ongoing scalp health, and monthly if they are treating dandruff, buildup, hair thinning or high stress.
- What should I bring or do to prepare?
- Come with dry, uncleaned hair (product buildup gives us more to work with), remove earrings if you can, and skip caffeine right before if you plan to fully unwind. Bring a hair tie for after the blow-dry. No need to bring products – we use a full professional line in salon.
- When should I arrive?
- Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in, change into a robe, and settle in with a beverage. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to be rebooked so the full ritual timing is protected.
- How does the consultation work?
- Every Head Spa starts with a short seated consultation and a scalp analysis under magnification. Your stylist reviews hydration, oil balance, buildup and sensitivity, then chooses the cleanse, mask and aroma blend for your session. If you have color, extensions or a keratin treatment on the books, we plan the ritual around them.
- Can I add a Head Spa to my color or cut appointment?
- Yes. Basic pairs well as an add-on to a cut or color day. For Premium, Deluxe and Luxury we recommend booking a dedicated visit so you can fully rest. Message the salon or add both services on Vagaro and we will sequence them correctly.
